THUNDER AT MIDNIGHT

THUNDER AT MIDNIGHT
The winds are angry outside
they toss the trees to and fro…
Out there…in the dark lonely night
As I coil mysef within…
My lonely blanket
I wish the rains could drop my love
From the grove in the cloud above
From the mystery place where he hides
So he could knock softly at my door
So I could be swift to open for him
So be transfixed with his firm embrace
And take me wherever he wants
Be it to the grove above, I would go
But I know he would hide with me here
To the bosom of this thick blue blanket
